Default All New KingTech EPO Jets, by HSD

Pacific RC Jets, teams up with KingTech once again!!!

We are proud to present, the all new lineup of KingTech EPO Jets, by HSD Models. HSD is the leading manufacturer of EPO (Expanded Polyolefin), plug and play foam jet designs. EPO is Strong, Durable, Light weight and easy to repair. KingTech EPO Jets will be available in the F-16, Super Viper, and Mirage 2000. We will also have exclusive new color choices, with more being added in the near future. We have a container of KingTech EPO Jets scheduled to be loaded at the end of October and arriving in California mid November.

All EPO Jets will be offered with the KingTech turbine packages. KingTech has just released their NEW state of the art ECU, Pump & GSU electronics package that will be included with all turbines. Yes, KingTech’s Turbines have the Auto Restart, Glider mode restart, self-priming pumps, Touch Screen GSU, and many other features.

We will be offering 3 packages to choose from:

Option #1: K-60G: This will give you all out flight performance and awesome vertical climb capabilities. If you want to push the envelope, this combo is for you!!

Option #2: K-45G: This is our Ultralight package. This version is approximately 5-6 ounces lighter, and with that kind of weight saving in this size of a jet can make a big difference. This is a great Combo for the more relaxed pilot that still wants performance, longer flight times and lighter wing loading.

Option #3: If you already have your turbine and just need the PNP version, we have that available also. Just select the model and color choice, and you’re on your way.

If you don’t want to wait for the container to show up, our website is setup to process orders to ship directly to your door. At this time, we are about 10-14 days for build, paint and ready to ship.

Current inventory coming in the first container:

1) Qty. 25 F-16 Grey

2) Qty. 25 F-16 Thunderbird

3) Qty. 15 F-16 Arctic Camo

4) Qty. 15 F-16 Green / Tan / Brown

5) Qty. 10 Super Viper Ferrari

6) Qty. 20 Super Viper Navy Trainer scheme

If you are willing to wait for the container, Email me at [email protected] with your model & color choice and I will place you on the list in the order the emails come in.

Best Regards,

Dirk & Barry

I'm very interested in one of the Vipers with a K45 but I'm curious if of would standup to flying of a 450' grass field.. The filed is relatively smooth and I have no problems flying my Boomerang there but EDF jets really struggle to get airborne here unless there is a good head wind..

Perhaps opt for the K-60G2 package.

Yep go to https://www.pacificrcjet.com/

Then select the drop down to what you want. No engine K45 or K60.

"Yes, KingTech’s Turbines have the Auto Restart, Glider mode restart, self-priming pumps, Touch Screen GSU, and many other features."

This isn't stated on the KingTech website. Are these features just for the K45 in the EPO jets or do all of them come with it? I'm considering replacing a Ram500 and this would probably put me over the top

Hi Scott,

Yes, ALL the KingTech turbines that come with the new ECU electronics package have those features.

I have had a few questions about the EPO structure & quality. This is the Data I received from the factory:

EPO is a kind of "copolymer", which is produced by special polymerization process. It is composed of 30% polyethylene and 70% polystyrene. The PE component is mainly distributed in the outer layer of the particle, which promotes the combination of the plastic and the combination. The PS component is mainly distributed in the interior of the particles, which has a good supporting effect on the bubble structure.
1, EPO has very high tear resistance, scratch resistance and puncture, but resistance to fragmentation, compared with EPS, EPO need more than 2 times the strength to tear, 2 times larger than the power to expose, more than 4 times the torque to break.

The EPO density, which is used in the version of the KingTech EPO jet, is 20 times of the foaming rate, and the average EDF foaming rate is 40 times. The lower the ratio, the higher the hardness and toughness.

Dirk

Buddy of mine flies his with a K45 off a taller grass field than I would be comfortable with...

One reason these were a hit in end is the gear was so tough... IIRC the turbine version gear is dampened

How well do these jets break down for transport ? 1 or 2 piece wings, etc ? Also, since I'm interested in flying of of a grass strip, the diameter of the wheels comes into play ? Any info on the wheels and perhaps a photo of one of these jets broken down for tranport ?

I have about 55 flights on my HSD viper with a K60G. Other than the stickers peeling off after about 40 flights, everything else is holding fine. I did have to glue the rudder to the fuselage after the 52nd flight because I started to see play and I was worried about flutter. The elevator and main wings have spars and they are rock solid with no play. The airframe is holding up fine and I am sure I will reach 100 flights within the next few months.

Dirk,

The website lists shipping direct from the factory as $159, which seems pretty reasonable. Any info on how the cost of shipping will compare if we wait for the container to arrive ? I realize the website says they will ship at a "lower rate" once the container arrives but I'm trying to get a rough idea of how much lower so I can better judge whether to wait for the container or not.

Thanks

Curios about the K60 Powered Viper's slow speed performance and how well it slows down for approach to smaller fields.

We took this video yesterday and hopefully it answers questions. I have the version-1. The one that Kingtech is currently selling is the V2 that has better upgrades. You really can't go wrong with the super viper.

Hi Wayne,

Sorry for the delay in your answer. It looks like FedEx ground is the best at $100.00 going from CA to MA.

SO what kind of speed difference can I expect with a K-45 vs a K-60?
